Hiw are you guys mounting them. Where at. I got one from Ronin. It came with 3m tape. Tried it. Wouldn't stick to anywhere under dash or side of shift box. Same for gorilla double sided. Think the texture of the plastic prevents a good bond.

Did you try cleaning with alcohol first? Honestly, I haven't found a good way to mount either. I just keep it at the ready.

Yep. Heck the gorilla tape barely holds to back of magnet. Sorcery I say.

    1. Inside the rear pocket of passenger seat seems to be a nice spot with the seat slightly more forward then drivers side.
    2. Amazon has some nice 40lb magnets set of 2. Mount one under the dash to the lower right of your leg. And another in the middle of the lower drivers side door pocket for a quick cross draw if the one behind the seat becomes unattainable.

After going to the truck and checking, I don't think it can work on our trucks. We don't have any rails under our seats.

    This should work though: https://www.daraholsters.com/ram-quick-ship-mounted-holster/#write_review.

I'd rather not drill into anything either, but it looks like the only way possible to have a solid grip. I was thinking of picking this type of magnet up(https://www.amazon.com/Tac-Mag-Gun-...iptionId=AKIAILSHYYTFIVPWUY6Q#customerReviews), but from reviews some say that it can't hold a full gun. I don't want anything flying around.

I don't know. Most of these magnets have mixed reviews. I will probably look for a holster mounted system.

I have a couple of these. Since my Jeep was tight on space, I really didn't have a lot of room for a holster mount that wasn't visible if the top or doors were off. I slipped it under the upholstery and could just stick the handgun to the seat if I was on a long drive. It was strong enough to rack the slide through the leather. I am looking for a spot in the Tundra to mount it for those drives that I might want to unholster but keep it close.

Any lefties in here and how are you mounting the magnet/holster? Due to someone coming on the driver's side, the best option is to use your weak hand and draw with right hand I would guess. It would also keep the handgun out of reach of the BG. Since seatbelt is mandatory in most states, it's also hindering our draw. If i were to draw with the left, I would have to shift the position and square the body towards the BG. The belt keeps you from doing that.

EDIT: Just realized I hijacked the thread. Sorry OP

I would like to mention the OEM Gun safe that can be installed in the center console. Not sure if your looking for quick draw or not but it is good for securing the gun from thieves as well as kids in the truck. Also the safe is large so you can put other valuables in it as well.

It is different to store and different to have it ready for a fight. If you have it inside the safe, than you might as well be disarmed. That's the whole reason why guys/gals mount magnets or mounts.

I have the OEM safe and it is used only for storage, as it is intended.

That is true, the best thing to do if your using magnet style is to get a very powerful one and put it under the dash on the drivers side but not attached under put the magnet inside the panel and stick a piece of felt on the outside to prevent from marring the panel. This will eliminate the issue with it falling off since you wold be attaching it from the inside of the panel, the panel itself will assist in holding it on.

I'm about 90% done with my mount, just have to epoxy Phantom to the mount and paint.

This was first go round, 2" short.
