Sometimes in my 23' limited with the JBL audio my microphones cutout when on a call. Sometimes muting/un-muting works for a little bit but normally I need to restart the truck. It has happened on Android Auto and Apple Car play making me think it's an issue with the truck. When the mic's cutout I can still hear the other person which makes it really weird. Anyone else experience this and is there a fix?

It happened on the original 1040? Code I picked the truck up with and the latest for the 14" display. I'll need to boot it up and double check but I upgraded it 3 weeks ago?

    Just checked 2050

I am having the same problem with my 2024 Tundra SR5. With Apple CarPlay or even just using the built in phone software from Toyota my microphone cuts in and out. Usually it’s 30 seconds on and 30 seconds off give or take. Other times is seems to work longer.

I can still hear the person but they can’t hear me. My Bluetooth connection to the car is always solid as my Amazon music streams flawlessly.

It is very frustrating and makes the handsfree useless. I have had it out with Toyota service and basically they tell me to wait for an eventual software update that might fix it. From what I can see it is not a widespread issue. They told me they changed another owners entire audio deck and that didn’t fix it. I’m still under factory warranty which apparently doesn’t mean much as they don’t seem willing to replace my deck or try anything to fix the issue. Just tell me to wait and see. Unacceptable to me. I’ve owned 6 Toyota vehicles and never dealt with anything like this.

    Thanks,
    Seth

Update for those following this, got the dealer to swap the head unit. Magically the new head unit did it before I even pulled out of the spot the dealer put the truck in after the swap. Got a phone call with the dealer tomorrow to see what else they can do. I "opted out" of the connected services I wonder if any of you did the same? I opted back in as a test and I'll post if it's the fix. My head unit also disconneced frequently before the swap, it seems slightly better but time will tell.

Final update, after opting back in all my microphones work again even with the new head unit that was cutting out prior. Something is seriously jacked with this....
