I was getting into my truck the other night and saw behind the passenger rear wheel there was a hanging cord.

I don’t recall hitting anything that would jar it loose but we’ve had a bunch of snow.

anybody know where this dingleberry should attach?

passenger side behind rear wheel. Looks to be a sensor of some sort. Possible for air suspension but I’m not certain.

    Lots of stuff!
Looks like part of the evap system for the fuel system?? The zip tie is a bonus! At least the zip tie kept the part instead of letting if hit the pavement! Maybe the hole that the zip tie goes through is the mount for this little part?

My guess is the assembler couldn't find the screw so zapped it up and went for lunch never to return to finish the job ;)

Sorry. The zip tie was my addition. It was dangling before.

Custom bug spat pattern hood, grill & bumper. Dead Live Oak leaf collection under hood, cowl and lower fenders. Beach sand custom floor covering.
My guess is the intake hose and filter for the air suspension.

That makes sense. I guess the other end of the hose is connected to the air pump? If that was the evap system, it would probably throw a code and check engine light. Seems that the little unit could be mounted to the frame close to were it is hanging.

Will the square peg fit into any of these holes?, that's what I would try first.

Went out and took a pic of the same area on mine. There was nothing mounted near the rear tire, but I did see something that looks similar that was mounted to the inside of the bed (center of pic) going straight up from the pump. Would make sense if it’s the intake for the pump.

    Hope it helps!

That's where it goes. I looked at mine and it's secured on that black plastic housing directly above the cylindrical part of the pump. A few inches above the top of it. I think it mounts to that tang shown in the picture above. Hard to tell what perspective that picture is taken from.

Thanks guys. I’ll secure it a bit tighter and have the dealer mess with it and the rest of my issues next visit.
