HF has their parking lot sale going on now. Looking to cash in on some solid Quinn wrench deals (40% off Quinn sets). I already have a basic 1/2 Husky socket wrench set, dont think i have too many deep sockets or adapters for it though. What sets would be worth getting in my case? And are 1/4 or 3/8 sets necessary?

    i’m no mechanic whatsoever.

I use 3/8 for mostly everything, don’t think iv ever used 1/4 on the truck unless im removing the battery terminals.

I would use 1/2 inch a lot when I first started working on my truck. then I started breaking bolts and learned what a torque wrench was. now I only use 3/8

I use 1/2 mostly when the breaker bar comes out for suspension or brakes. I thing anything 17mm +

I bought the icon 3/8 socket set - 58104 and I love it. Been eying the 3/8 icon flex head ratchet (58593) for months - at $45 I’m waiting for a good deal. For 40% off I might get the 3/8 deep sockets tho number 57956

I Keep the below in the truck 24/7

    3/8
-racket - that is a flex head extendable
    -deep & shallow sockets - 10mm, 12mm, 13mm, 14mm, 17mm,
    -wrench’s - 10mm, 12mm, 13mm, 14mm, 17mm,
    -extensions - 3 & 6 inches

    1/2
    -breaker bar
    -ratchet
    -Deep socket - 17mm, 19mm, 21mm
    -4 inch extension

I believe it's 40 percent off Quinn sets. I did pick up a couple on Monday.
I also got a 9500 Predator generator today. Just finished getting off the back of the Tundra! Dang, 300 pounds is a lot heavier than it used to be!

ETA, the Quinn sets I picked up were the 1/4 and 3/8. 3/8 so I have a duplicate set, 1/4 because I have several skips in metric and the 1/4 ratchets can get in tighter spaces. Hardly ever use 1/2" unless I'm using impact sockets.

Nice, I'll likely just scoop the 3/8 for the versatility then. They do have the master sets that include all 3. There's so many options, all look to be solid buys in general though. Also, correction: the 40% is for Quinn and not Icon, but I'm with you in been eyeing some flex heads as well.
