Has anyone ever had a body shop paint a fender to match, and for how much?

Has anyone ever had a body shop paint a fender to match, and for how much?

I saw a black fender in mint condition on car-part.com, which I thought was in Pocatello, ID, but it is at the Colorado branch. They guy said they would charge around the price of the fender ($246) just to ship it to them, because the don't have boxes that fit fenders.

So they have a white fender for $160, and I might buy it, and drive to Idaho to pick up, cause I don't want to pay for shipping, and my Corolla is a gas sipper.

I was wondering if anyone has ever had a fender painted by a body shop, to match the color of their truck, and what it might cost?

The auto shop guy said he couldn't tell me a price guesstimate, because of all the different car manufacturers colors I think is what he meant. But he said I could take some picks an use their estimator app to get a price quote. But I would hate to buy it, just to find out that its going to cost hundreds.

@BubbaW Thanks. I called another auto body shop and the guy said it would be around $500. I think I found a matching color fender. I better make the call.

Not sure if this is 'on-topic' . . . but I just used that Spray Max 2K Clear rattle can to restore my headlights . . . I was so impressed, that I wouldn't hesitate to attempt a fender with that type of product.
