I went from LT Load Range E KO2 to SL Toyo AT3 and am very happy. Quieter and better in rain. I put 50 K on KO2 but I made a mistake getting LT with them, and apparently they only come in load range E in stock 275/65/18. So I went with the Toyo. Happy so far. Hope to get 50 K out of them.

What are your needs and expectations in a tire besides daily driving? How are these tires used? I would totally recommend any of those tires in Colorado. In Washington where a lot of rainfall is normal I would not recommend the BFG KO2's (the KO3's are supposed to address the weaknesses of this tire). If your truck is just a DD and on road duties only, get some Michelin Defenders.

What works for others might not necessarily work for you and visa versa.

Unless you're going for looks. Defenders do it all unless you're mudding or driving in sand. They aren't super exciting to look at.

These are a really good all around tire. I can't use them, and why I chose BFG KO2's for my current situation.

Which TOYO? TOYO has quite a pile of use specific tire's out there at present. I'm a fan boy of the OPEN COUNTRY AT3's but they are a Hybrid design that leans a little more towards off road use. Not saying you can't run them, obviously from the reply's a lot of folks do run them on the street but they may be overkill for your intended use. Ran a set of Falken Wildpeak's on the wife units GX 460 for 49K plus on Methods before they got a little slimy in the rain and snow. Another consideration, yet another Hybrid, that you might consider but leans a little more towards the "Road Use" side of things is the Nitto Ridge Grappler line. Way to many tire choice's out there at present.

Falkens would be my pick. I have them on the last three vehicles.

I really disliked the K02’s in the rain. They were fine in the snow, but downright terrifying in the rain once they got some miles on them. The falken wildpeaks I replaced them with are FAR, FAR better in the rain. I have not tried them in the snow yet.

Thanks guys! Yes I dislike the ko2 in the rain. I’ll try out a set of Wildpeak.

i'm kinda in the same boat. i've had KO2's in stock and larger and they both were "ok" in the rain. i have the michelin defenders now that came on the sequoia PRO, and will be swapping to the Cooper Discovered AT3 XLT's once these wear out. i'm going to a 33, and they're only 2 lbs heavier per tire. others have commented on them being good every day tires and do well in the rain too.
