Has anyone installed ppf on the headlights on their own? How difficult is it and any recommendations on where to buy the kit? Thanks in advance.

If you have LED it won’t affect it. Porsche 718 is the only exemption as xpel explicitly states not to put it on the headlight

I got it on my 23 tundra and looked good. Where the headlight goes from front to back has a gap so it lays flat.

got it on my raptor too. These are completely flat and really easy. I wouldn’t try the tundra as a diy given the curvatures

Would the ppf protect against sun oxidation? I live in one of the worst places with harsh sunlight.

I would imagine it does. Remember when they first start putting these clear bra on hoods. After ten years it would crack and fade and when you removed it the paint was noticeable newer than uncovered.

Well, shit. I just replaced my Morimoto headlights going from Gen 1 to Gen 2 and wanted to protect against UV and damage. Installed them with Lamin-X PPF about a week ago. The site stated these were precut for the Tundra Gen 2.5 but I'm suspecting that the Morimotos have a slightly different curvature, so I had to do a slight modification. They don't cover the entire top of the headlights just basing it off of the design but we'll see if it causes any issues after reading what you guys are saying.

Yep. I just put them on my '06 retrofits after I got done with them because all of the clear coat products seem to fail or don't work at all after you've restored headlights. That was my go-to route. Easy enough to pull off and reinstall. I don't have a new 2023 minor. Probably a hell of a lot easier. Just made a pattern. Put it into the software and cut it to said pattern.

On the note of the spider cracks headlights get, there are some issues with using isopropyl alcohol on certain plastics. If you dig far enough, you can find several people that have had that problem, so keep that in mind
