Heated/cooling seats in Tundra Platinum

I was told by a Toyota salesman today that there is no option for cooling seats in any Tundra, just heated. I find it hard to believe when most companies are offering this that Toyota doesn't? I watched a Youtube video from 2019 that said to choose the textured cloth over the leather for the cooling option. I saw no such option on the website. If someone can give me the straight talk on this I would appreciate it. I'll be putting my order in no later than Feb 2021. Thanks

 

Toyota uses “ventilated” seats in the Tundra. Basically just pushes ambient air through the seats. Some other manufactures actually pipe cool air from the AC.

 

The Platinum has heated/cooled leather seats. And......get a new salesman.

 

They are not cooled. They do have fans that will blow ambient air though the seats. They are technically "ventilated" but they are not "cooled" seats like other manufacturers. You can barely feel any air when you have the ventilated seats on. Nobody that rode in my Tundra could tell the ventilated seats were on.

Big difference in the ventilated seats in the Tundra compared to the actual cooled seats in the Denalli's I ride in at work.

 

But just to answer your question, you will get heated/ventilated seats on Platinum or 1794. No Toyota trim level is going to have cloth seats with any kind with ventilated seats.

Limited will come with leather seats and they will be heated.

On the SR5, I believe it depends on the package added if you get heated seats in them.

TRD Pro will have heated seats I am pretty sure but not 100% sure.

 

Yes, your correct. Technically not cooled but ventilated.

 

2020/2021 TRD Pro’s have heated leather. 2016-2019 have leather-not heated. 2015 has cloth. Unless your in Canada...all their TRD Pro years have heated leather, except year 2015.
