Heated Windshield wipers

Does the 2022 Tundra have the heated windshield wiper option.

Our 2017 Toyota 4Runner Limited had the heated wipers. For those icey morning it was great! Wipers would heat up and not be stuck to the windshield. Now for 6" of snow, you still have to scrape and clean the windshield. I actually really liked that feature.

Have not bothered to look to see if 2022+ tundra has that feature, maybe in the Capstone?

I would gladly take that feature again on a vehicle.

 

My 2008 Cadillac had heated washer fluid jets which cleared ice and snow beautifully. Apparently it was setting cars on fire though so they issued a recall where the fix was to disable the system and give the owner $100. I never had any issues with it but it seems like a good way to crack a windshield.

Some vehicles put a defroster grid under where the wipers rest, but I don't see any such thing on my Limited.

 

My SR5 has deicers in the windshield.

My Limited has heating elements in the glass where wipers park. They turn on with rear window and side mirror deicers and run for 15 min. Not sure about other models.

 

I just checked I do not see them in the 1794 edition

 

i'd guess just to keep the wipers from freezing to the windshield.

 

The button for them looks like it would turn on the mirror and rear window deice but apparently it turns on the windshield wiper de ice as well. I encountered the freezing wipers yet but I'm sure I will. Someone said look in the owners manual Pg 410 shows the button and 415 sheds a little light on it as well

Can’t say either way for the ‘22 models, but they aren’t visible on my ‘08. I had the truck for quite a while before I knew I had them, and they turn of with the heated mirror button on my double cab as well. (Crewmax trucks that have the rear defroster use that button to turn them on, as well as heated mirrors)

Pretty easy know if you have the heaters by turning on the heated mirrors / rear defroster and feel the windshield in the wiper park area after 5 to 10 minutes.
