2022 Tundra Platinum 4x4

Can someone ease verify this? So in my 2022 Tundra Platinum my Android Auto works without plugging in a USB cable. But when I try Android Auto in my 2022 Highlander Platinum I have to connect a USB cable for it to work. Is that normal?

My wife has 22 Highlander and Android Auto doesn't work unless plugged in. The dealer said 22 Highlander had the last year of that tech fwiw. Short answer: yes
