So at first I thought it was just my audible tone that was disabled when I installed my new headunit, but that wasnt the case. I even reinstalled the OEM unit to see if I somehow disabled it or can Re-enable it but I don't have that capability with the TRD Pro.

I read in some threads that it could be because somehow one of the 4 locking mechanisms wasnt fully engaging, but after troubleshooting each door individually, that wasnt the case either.

I tried checking all the fuses, both in the engine bay and under the driver's footwell, but again, that wasnt the case.

I tried replacing the horn alarm fuse (see attached pic), but that did nothing.

Today, as I was standing in front of my my truck, I tried manually engaging the alarm via the Panic button on our keyfob. That did NOTHING?!

    ok.

So I've come to the conclusion that my alarm in general is what failed. Can someone tell me or share your experience, if any, on how to troubleshoot the factory alarm. All the fuses appear to be ok. The factory Remote start works and the horn still works upon depressing the airbag.

Im all out of possible solutions.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thats a relay not fuse, does the red key flash in the cluster upon locking the vehicle?

Hi Im having the exact same problem, Fuses all good, red indicator light flashes, relay checked and all good. Same situation, I replaced the radio with an aftermarket radio and returned back to the factory radio thats when it all started. Tundra came with 2 fobs and none work. I even tried to do the FOB reprogram procedure and nothing. Panic button does nothing.

I opened all the windows and locked the truck with the lock button, then I manually unlocked the driver's side lock and opened the truck from the outside handle. Nothing. not even a flashing light on the dash...nothing.

This is what sucks... Yes, I know it's an old thread.. but nobody ever came back with results... whether they were successful or not in finding the problem... I am searching for the same thing... I would rather search first before asking the same question... I find so many threads without results, good or bad ... it's a PITA ...

Have you tried to reset it? There is a procedure with the door open that you follow step by step and it sort of resets the system. Another option is by removing the negative battery terminal for a minute or 2. .

I'll have to look for it.. It's been a few years since I've looked it up, I think I found it on this site. If I trip over it, I'll link it here, if you haven't already found it.
You can try a soft reset, I do believe it's the same, not sure if it's changed from the 07 line up. Place key in the ignition turn to 'ON', but don't turn it over. Do this 3 times quickly and you will have the red light in the bottom portion of the dash blink multiple times. This disables the system, to turn it back on do the same thing. Key in the ignition turn to 'ON' 3 times quickly without turning over and should enable it.

Yea.. That didn't work ... I'll keep looking.. But not really finding anything on this forums..

The light is just flashing when not locked... On steady when locked but still flashing as well... Meaning it will get a little brighter then back to normal while it's on steady...

Try this 1. this is more in line with your model year. The previous suggestion was for the pre-face lift 2nd gen.

How to reset 2014 Tundra alarm system
To reset the alarm system on your 2014 Toyota Tundra, follow these steps:

Method 1: Using the Remote Control

Press the top button on the remote control three times: This will disarm the alarm system and turn off the alarm.
Turn the ignition switch to the “lock” position: This will confirm the alarm is disarmed.
Wait for the alarm to reset: The alarm system will automatically reset itself.
Method 2: Using the Valet Mode

Press and hold the valet button on the remote control for 3 seconds: This will put the alarm system in valet mode.
Release the button and wait for the alarm to stop: The alarm system will automatically reset itself.
Method 3: Disconnecting the Battery Cables (Temporary Fix)

Disconnect the positive and negative battery cables: This will drain the residual power in the system.
Wait for 10 minutes: Allow the system to reset.
Reconnect the battery cables: The alarm system should now be reset.
    Important Notes

If you have a key fob, make sure it is in good working condition and not damaged.
If you have trouble resetting the alarm system, consult your owner’s manual or contact a Toyota dealership or authorized service center for assistance.
Remember to take notes of your sound system and navigation system presets before disconnecting the battery cables, as this will delete the settings.
Remember to always follow proper safety precautions when working with electrical systems, and consult a professional if you are unsure about any of the steps above.
