Here is my truck as it sits now:

I have the BBS TRD Pro wheels on my truck now on 285/75R18 Yokohama Geolander AT XD tires. I just bought some Icon Rebound wheels from a fellow member here… I was convinced that “this is the way,” but I’m stuck in analysis paralysis. Do you like the look of the BBS wheels or prefer the Icons? Here’s a few pics from this forum for a frame of reference.

    Stay with the TRD BBS.

If you like how both wheels look, then I would pick the BBS Pro wheels over the Icon because they are stronger (forged vs cast) and lighter (BBS is 26 lbs, Icon even in 17" is 30 lbs).

Good points. I love the look of both of them. Weight saving and strength should be a big consideration. Thanks.

I do like how the color contrast of the Icons make them stand out a bit, but I've always preferred radiating symmetry in wheels. The Icons have five lugs but eight spokes and there are lugs and spokes that don't line up and there's always an inconsistent offset between them as they radiate from the center, whereas the TRDs have five lugs and five identical spokes that radiated from the hub. The TRDs also look like they may be a little more tedious to clean. Either way, my vote goes to the TRDs, which coincidentally are the wheels that I have on my truck.

I like them both. If you just got the icons, I vote for storing the BBS and running out a set of tires on the icons, then switch back for a fresh look. ;) Hopefully you've got a spot to safely store a set of wheels.

Now that you’ve pointed out the asymmetrical lug to spoke pattern on the icons, I can never unsee it.

I do have space, but I’m really only wanting to keep a single set. I already have 2 sets of wheels for my other car and the old lady gives me a hard time… I would never hear the end of it if I had 2 sets for both vehicles

Wives are expensive to swap out, so I recommend against it. Here me out though, if you already have four wheels stacked in the garage, maybe four more wheels will hold them higher off the ground, protecting them in some way? Maybe try it out for a month, or 36 and see how it goes. I'm generally against hoarding, but I'm sure you see where I'm going.

This has only been up for a few hours, but it seems to be pretty unanimous. Thanks, guys! Anyone want to buy some 18” Icon Rebounds? :D
