    Hi,
I have a 2018 Tundra Crewmax 4x4 platinum, that now as 18" wheels and BFG KO2s, and rear TRD sway bar. I think the ride is firm, I miss the ride of my old Raptor. What suspension do I want to give me a nice soft "Cadillac" ride kinda like the Raptor. Also im not really looking to do any lift to the truck.

Ok now the dumb thing I kinda what to find something red/or red accents for any parts that will be visible, the truck is MGM with red calipers, the red sway bar. I seen parts from King and the blue just would not look good.

I was looking at the new 2019 TRD Pro suspension, however is it true you can not order those parts without showing proof of ownership of a PRO.

All depends on how much you're willing to spend. Any brand can be custom colored. Also, sway bars tend to make for a harsher ride, flatter cornering but less independence so what's felt on one side w/o sway bars is felt on both w/ sway bars.

I would leave it alone, I don't think your gonna be able to make a substantial difference from a stock ride..

Most people with decent coilover setups would disagree.

"Replacement part only" but all you need is a Pro VIN which isn't exactly secret information and a willing parts guy

Sway away comes in red. Radflo also comes in red or like others said ask kKing to custom anodize a set for you. If you are ponying up the money for Kings then a couple hundred more is no big deal.

Well that’s got be the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. Just wait, eventually Toyota’s gonna catch on and start matching the vins to the dealership they were sold from.

If you think the stock ride is already too firm for you, I guarantee you Kings will not be "softer" in your daily driver.
I say this as someone with a full King suspension on all four corners.

they've been doing this for YEARS. The TRD wheels from the FJ trail teams edition that all the Tacoma guys want were "VIN-locked" too. I bet it has more to do with something like liability / warranty vs. exclusivity.

One of the best kits on the market right now for the pure offroader/ "overlander" style driver along with killer on road manners!

You have the compression and rebound adjusters already on the shocks with no need to spend extra!!

Shoot me a pm if you have any questions about the kit! We have them in stock ready to rock and roll!! :D

I have this, while it is good, if I did it again i'd go with King. My biggest gripe is the spring rate and only offering a 700 lb rate. I'd rather go with the 600 or 650 you can get from King. That said, i'd also probably order straight from radflo because they can custom build it for you at same cost if not cheaper then the Toytec collaboration.

I will say, my Toytec/Radflo setup is great, has softened up huge amount since I bought it, and is awesome off road. I'd just do it differently if I did it again

I don't think you could be more wrong. Stock rides like shit IMO. I was just thinking this the other day, changing the suspension on my tundra legit may be one of the best car mods i've made (i've got 4 cars currently, everyone has modifications.....every car i've ever owned has had modifications)

I'll also advocate this. Removing the front sway bar made the truck so much more comfortable on and off road for ME (may not for everyone)

How long did it take for your coilovers to soften? I installed them about 2 weeks ago. While I am very happy with them, they are a little stiff out of the box. Which I expected.

ADS offers 600, 650 and 700lb springs as well for their 2.5 coilovers.

Keep in mind King makes their own springs.....they are a good shock company, but their spring department lacks. You hear a lot of complaints about their coils clapping out.

about 6 months it felt like. I will say after my first real hard off road experience with them they softened up pretty well.

Interesting, i hadn't heard much about kings springs collapsing. That said, i've seen springs collapse from nearly every manufacturer (eibach, etc). Shit happens sometimes unfortunately. ADS is also a good option. Who makes their springs though? Eibach? I think eibach supplies a lot of the big guys (H&R, etc)

I'm surprised that King makes their own given Eibach is right around the corner

Im not talking collapse, talking about losing their spring tension. So people "add" more preload to make up for it. Should have worded it differently in my initial post.

And yes Eibach is who supplies to ADS. I think they used to use both Eibach and PAC, but now they work closely with Eibach.

I have the Radflo coil overs as well, I think it took 3-4 for mine to soften. @HBdirtbag is totally correct about them being stiff at first, but once they break in they’re a nice improvement over stock. Plus, with 700 lb coils, they don’t seem to dive as much when turning, like the stock 600 lb ones do.
