I've looked up a lot of great information on thos site but I thought I'd ask for some more personal input.

What I WANT is the K02s in a 295 but obviously that isn't going to happen anytime soon. The K02s have been the only AT tires I've ran and I liked them so much I'm scared to buy anything else. I'm stuck on the tire size I just need to pick a brand. I'm leaning towards the Toyo AT3s but they don't seem to be as popular as others so that worries me a little. I live in WA so I get a lot of rain. My K02s did fine. I do go hunting and camping as much as I can but I'm not an "off roader" or anything like that.

How do you guys feel about the Toyo AT3s.? What is the "best" AT tire in the size I'm looking at in your opinion?

    Thank you.

I went with the cooper xlts

But you might want to check your local tire shop and see what’s even available. I got the last four xlts available in dfw area and I don’t know when the next ones are coming

A/T tires in that size are hard to come by at the moment. How aggressive do you want the tire to look? Is that even important? Mickey Thompson Baja AT (which is what I have), KO2's, Toyo AT3's, Falken Wildpeak's, Cooper's Disco XLT, Geolander XAt(or something like that), Duratracs, all good options. All of those will perform for you for what it sounds like your needs are.

Just an availability and appearance decision for you out of those previously mentioned.

I ran the Toyo AT3s in heavy Louisiana rain and in the snow and Ice on my GX in Colorado and they did well. I would have put them on when I decided I wanted to go 33" class but didn't want to wait for them to be ordered and ended up with the KO2s which I have had on several trucks and SUVs.

Bingo. I was looking for my Toyo's for months and everywhere was out of stock. I finally happened to come across stock on simpletire.com and ordered them right away. I even called them to confirm availability and they had 20+ tires at the time in my size. I checked back 20 mins after I placed the order and they were already out of stock again. Crazy stuff...

I'm running AT3's in that size and they are great. Quite and better than the RG's they replaced in the rain. I had to wait about 8 weeks to get them.

I ran the BFG's for years and thought they were great until recently when I switched to the Falken Wild Peak AT3W on the Tundra and the Cooper AT3 XLT on my F-350. Either one of those will make you forget about BFG's forever, far superior tires, quiet, smooth, good in snow and rain, balance easy and wear great. Both are 297/70 18s.

Wildpeak AT3s here. Heavy @66lbs per tire, kinda stiff, but EXCELLENT in the rain, snow, mud, tire wear, noise, etc...

Toyo AT3’s are great tires. Ran them for 7k miles before taking them off for bigger MT’s. If you’re in the mid-Atlantic region I may be convinced to sell them. They are the exact size 295/70R18.

I just put on Toyo Open Country AT3's in 295/70/18. Really like the way they look. Don't even have 100 miles on them yet so really don't have much of a review of them, but so far so good. I don't drive my truck much.

I can’t speak highly enough for my falken wildpeak 295’s. They are absolutely incredible especially with the weather we get in the PNW. But if I had to pick another tire I’d do the Open Country’s.

+1 for Toyo AT3, 275.70.18. just had them installed last weekend, immediately did 100 miles and was impressed. they’re grippy on dry road, very quiet and don’t look overly aggressive (not a look i wanted myself).

they were expensive, paid $350/ea at discount tire.

after driving on them for a week, i would buy again

With current shortages, I think I’m going to hold onto them.

These are the two tires I'm currently debating. Do you have a preference between the two?

I went with the Nitto Recons 295/70/18. So far can’t complain! I think they look sick!

Both are great and you wouldn't be disappointed with either, I like the looks of the Falkens a little better and they are a little cheaper. You can't go wrong with either one.

I have the toyo at3. Or course they are louder than the factory Michelins but I wouldn't call them noisey.

I run the Falken Wildpeak AT3W's 295/70 18 on mine and they are very smooth and quiet. Awesome tires :)
