Bought my truck last year with icon adjustable coil overs and upper control arms. It’s running 35s as well. When I got the truck the owner had the rear sag look that I had to fix right away. Long story short I ended up having a shop put on some 3” blocks to level it out. Of course I noticed the ride became a little more harsh afterwards but the truck isn’t my daily driver so I’ve been able to live with it. Can I substitute longer shocks instead of blocks or do I have to keep the blocks with longer shocks? For my application, I’m intending to maybe do slight mild off roading and I would like to start pulling a pop up camper.

I would get rid of the blocks and look into leaf springs. Alcan can make you what you need. Call them and ask for Lew.

Shocks in the rear add no lift. The lift comes by means of leaf springs, lift shackles and lift blocks. I have never been a fan of blocks, had one crack on me long time ago. I have used add-a-leaf and lift shackles. You also have to get a shock that can accommodate the lift. Most rear shocks are able to handle 1-1.5 inches of lift.

So when I bought the truck the previous owner had removed one of the leaf springs to give the truck that stupid sag look. Sounds like I could add some leaves to replace the blocks and the stock rear suspension can handle this? I forgot to add a pic for some reference.

Depending on how much you want to raise it. I would see what leaf is missing or try to buy a new/used set of OEM leaf packs. The you can do a add-a-leaf or a lift shackle. They have lift shackles from 1/2, 3/4, 1, 1.5 and 2.
