Can anyone help me confirm a part number? I'm looking to switch out my grille for the heritage grille that has the letters for TOYOTA and room for the TRD light bar underneath and 3 amber lights on top. I had a part number set from the dealer and I was finally ready to purchase and the part number no longer comes up.

Is there an easy way to check if 53101-0C500 is the part number I'm looking for?

Appreciate it but I'm looking for OEM through the dealer. Prices are FAR more reasonable there.

The part number you have is for this: https://www.sparksparts.com/oem-parts/toyota-grille-insert-trd-offroad-sport-with-camera-531010c500

ah ha! yes. Thank you! Spark parts seems to have a price pretty close to dealer discounts too. Do they have OEM parts? Thank You!

edit: for some reason I cant pull part number up on parts.toyota.[dealer]

If not from Rave, do you know of a more reputable source for the whole grill kit? OEM Heritage grille insert, light bar, markers, wiring, and switch? I saw the link to Sparks for the grille insert and do not mind sourcing the parts individually. I looked up the OEM light bar through sparks and noticed it has an OEM connector... I am wondering if someone sells a light kit with wiring and switch... Baja Designs has a light bar and wiring but could not tell if it came with an OEM-style switch for the switch panel. That would leave the OEM-style camera bracket and marker lights... Maybe that is all I am missing for the whole grille?

I am looking to do the swap on a '23 Platinum. Thanks for any leads and help

Hey @AnothaTundra, The kit we sell does not come with the OEM-style wiring harness switch. If you are interested in replacing this with a Toyota-style one it is very easy to do so, just remove the spade connectors and replace with the OEM-style one and slide the spade connectors on the new switch. Some switches do require you to wire them in yourself and a wiring diagram for our switch can be provided.
    Best,

I'm too broke after buying this rig to afford mods.
Hey @Baja Designs just checked out your 448076 light bar for my 1794 HV. Any instructions for Hybrid installs? Fuse box and battery are in different locations and am interested to see what the challenges might be installing this kit.

    Lots of stuff!
There are 3 brackets up to and several below and a few pins up top. The grille shutters have a mount as well. If the grille is loose, everything will be loose since it is all connected.

The grille is only one part of a bunch of layers that make up the front of the truck. You need to peel back the layers to get to the grille.

If you look on the little stand to the left of the photo, you will see the part that connects the brackets to the truck. This might be the part you would need if it the entire assembly moves.

The entire front of the truck comes off to change the grille. Compared to 2 bolts on the Taco and out pops the grille.

Ive got this light bar. Super easy install (the light bar that is). Taking the grille off is more a pain in the ass but I was already swaping out my Limited grille for a TRD PRO grille. But the light bar installation is very simple, super easy wiring too which is the main reason I got it. I ended up cutting out the provided switch and wiring up an OEM looking switch. But I love the light bar.

Any links to OEM style (square) switch that just uses the spade connections in your kit? I’m at that point of install & that would be way simpler than wiring the 4-5 wire switches

THIS...the DD doesnt compare to the BD either. Kinda kick myself for having bought the DD hitch pod now that I've got all BD up front

My DD light bar bounces all over the place while driving. Needs a support to keep it from jiggling.

Bet the BD bar doesn’t do it.

Happy to report that the BD bar does not bounce around. BD includes 2 brackets that support the bars weight from up top and help keep it nicely in place. The brackets are thick steel and don't appear to deflect much off the truck, I'd imagine they're stronger once tied into the bar and grille.

Did the DD kit not come with any support brackets?

Interesting. Maybe the bar is light enough that DD didn't see a need for support brackets. I know the BD bar is a heavy unit though

I had the edit my responce earlier. I menat to say “bet the BD bracket doesn’t bounce”

All that came with the DD Bar was the light bar bracket like eddie posted. No support on too or bottom. Unfortunately, I don’t ever use it. Not even on a dark road headed to work which I bought it for. It just jiggles way too much. Replacement screws that DD was sending out will not fix the jiggle issue. The weight is a little too much for the grill itself which cause the jiggle.
