Hey guys so I was looking at getting this setup with the cats but I haven’t seen much reviews on it & I was just trying to see if it’s even worth it I have the Dap Tune so maybe that’ll help to get the 33HP because I’m sure stock won’t give you that but just trying to see if it’s worth it and trying to get advice thanks !

Keith will provide you lots of info on exhaust and probably say go for the jba long tube with dual 3in. But for me quality is not their for jba. I had a set of jba longtube with jba mid pipes. kept all of my cats runs really good. But had leaks. Came to find out the header flange was warp so i return it and went with Doug thorley. I had a single exit exhaust and the jba lost low end torque 2500rpm below was a lost but top end was crazy. The doug thorley actually gain some low end and alittle less on the top compare to jba. When i got the jba header i got them bare which i do not recommend because they seem to have more issues with quality control. I recommend the ceramic coating because every thread i read they go through the jba ceramic better and i see no issues. But for me doug thorley all the way. Dont read this as a jba bashing because its not. I had jba headers on many cars and they were great.

I recently pulled the trigger on the aFe with the cats (recently removed the cats, straight piped it, full custom 3"). Upside they are 4-1 to a 3" collector, build quality is top notch. Flanges are good with no issues with welds or cutting corners.

They are using 409 steel instead of 304, so if you see a lot of weather, salt, rain etc, I would consider this for long term reliability as 304 will last longer. For dryer climates (AZ), they are fine, since I don't see the corrosion as some states..

You will probably see the advertised gain on NA, but keep 3" piping for full exhaust and don't choke it out with 2.5"... Before I straight piped it, I did not have any check engine code or nothing with "readiness", so you should be good as bolting on and driving it. The cats they use are high flow as well in addition to the 3" mid pipes.

They also fit really nice like a glove, with no real problems with install. Also reach out to @sdhq_offroad they are running the aFe headers on their shop truck. I would also recommend getting new manifold gaskets if you have 60K+ miles, regardless of what people say.. Peace of mind..

The headers look great. How have they held up over the years? Also, you said that you didn’t have any check engine light issues before removing the cats. How long did you run the headers with cats? I live in GA and have to pass an annual emissions test so I need the cats.
