Hey guys I recently bought a 21 tundra with 28k miles and didn’t notice this when test driving but I noticed this high pitch noise when accelerating, the noise usually appears when you are around 40 mph and if you let go of the peddle it completely stops can’t figure out if its an electric problem or if it’s something mechanically, everything is stock I did change the throttle body gasket screen cause I seen that many said it could be that on different post but it still continues to make the noise.

My initial thought was something with the intake. I thought that before I got to the part about the throttle body gasket. Make sure all your connections are tight.

Non stock intakes/filters can make that noise. sure yours is all stock? If so, then it sound like you may have a loose connections somewhere in that CAI line. The smallest leak will get loud once you hit the throttle.

I took a look again at the intake but everything looks good to me my next guess would be to change the engine filter for a different one and see if it would stop

There is a screen on the throttle body that can cause some noises like this. It is a super high pitched whistling noise. Mine did it a few times this last winter when it was really cold, but it stopped. Some people cut it out entirely.

    Your truck has this:

Some people either cut the screen out or replace it with this:

My TRD filter use to do this on the highway. Swapped to paper filters for years while I commuted.

The oring vs mesh gasket usually helps. Or just throw on a SC and drown out the whistle.
