I'm looking at 2 similarly equipped 2024 1794 Edition Tundra. Primary difference is one has the TRD Off-Road package. Can anyone share the difference in highway ride of an empty Tundra equipped with the TRD Off-Road package versus one with a standard suspension setup? Curious which one will be smoother and less choppy overall on the road when the truck is empty. Also, any difference in handling corners, etc.?

Just picked up my ‘24 SR5 with TRD OR package last week and drove 600+ miles from KC back to DFW. It drove smooth as butter at 75+ mph in stiff winds. Very comfortable on the road and in the cab. I wasn’t road weary from man handling the truck for hours. That and it sits higher than a stock version.

Can’t provide feedback on regular version but confident another poster will chime in. Good luck with the purchase

I have the TRD Off Road Package and recently completed a long family road trip (1800 miles). The ride quality was exceptional, and my wife was pleasantly surprised. We had some weight in the bed for the road trip, but I drive around Denver highways all the time and it still feels compliant and smooth. I also cannot provide commentary on the "regular" suspension but I can tell you I wouldn't trade the added capability even if it was slightly better. The Bilstein suspension is a solid balance for 90% of drivers who spend most of their time on the pavement but want the capability.

Regular suspension is garbage. Handles like crap and you can feel every bump when driving on uneven roads

Wow... no kidding? I'll look for some crappy roads to test drive.

This is helpful. Seems like all you TRD suspension guys are liking the ride. Thanks.

TRD OR suspension rides just fine on highways up to 80mph.

I now understand you and I are in different phases of life, because I am never , ever bolting a E-rated tire to my truck ever again. LOL

Agreed, im really struggling to like my C rated tires. I rode my friends truck with Standard Load AT tire and i am mad at myself for getting into C rated hype.
Im not even that old yet
