Looking for a specific product recommendation for a locking hitch pin. My old one from old truck is too short. New one I bought at auto store too long. Tired of guessing at this. Anyone have a link?

    2023 Tundra 1794.

    Thanks.

I used to have this tool I’ll find a picture of it somewhere. It was fairly compact and when pulled out had a bunch of numbers and lines. The best part was I could hold it up to something and get a reference for how big or small something is. Then I could always use that reference when trying to find something similar.

Give a man a fish feed him for a night. Teach a man to fish feed him for a lifetime.

But I think the bigger question here and quite frankly more importantly…does the hitch pin get inserted from the driver side or the passenger side?

It's for the receiver. When I'm not towing, I want to have a cover on the receiver, so I want the right size locking pin. Thanks.

You need 3” usable space on a 5/8” locking pin. They all list that detail in the specs.

I’ve been using this guy for a long time. He has many types of locks with matching keys for trailer and receiver. Used a 3 ⅛” receiver lock for the Tundra.
