Damn - that’s well worth the price even if it only last 3-4 seasons. Cheaper than renting one 2 years in a row.

How good is the Champion stuff overall ? I’m not expecting much - bought a couple of their generators off Amazon a while back super cheap - and then the wonderful delivery driver didn’t want to carry the heavy ass box 20 feet to me door so tossed them out on the yard - I complained and basically got them for free from Amazon CS because I had him on video.

Bought thinking it would be useful in case we ever had a power outage in NC - of course wound up moving and new place has whole house generator already - so they sit in the garage at the farm. Need to pull them out sometime - out in oil and fire them up. Don’t expect much - and whenever we finally need them they might crap out I know - but haven’t cost me much and maybe they surprise. Guessing same manufacturer quality as Westinghouse/Harbor Freight or what passes for “Craftsman” these days.

About 4 yrs ago I bought a small champion generator to do work at our rural property before the house went up. I planted trees and it was a dry summer so I had to run a pump from the creek and the generator was too small. So I bought a bigger one from harbor freight. They both work fine within their specs. If you just need simple work done, like run some lights, some tools, a pump, etc, the HF and TS stuff is the same as anything you buy from any other box store.
I don't have a lot of use for the generators now and only used the little champion a few times (4 yrs ago), but I've heard nothing but good things about the champion generators from people who have them.
