Homelink garage opener setup on digital mirror

I'm trying to get my garage door opener setup on one of the Homelink buttons for the digital mirror, following the owners manual and on screen instructions. The recording of my opener is not working and the subsequent learn attempts are also not working/learning. Anyone else have similar issues? How did you resolve it?

 

I was having a hard time because I didn’t have a remote for my opener. Couldn’t figure out how to do it without one. Then I realized I could just pull the keypad off the wall and hold that up to the mirror. Worked like a charm once I did that. If you hold the first and the third button it resets the home link. I would give that a try.

 

@Tundranewcomer thanks! Doing the reset must have done the trick because this time around it actually "learned" the needed frequency.
