So my hood latch cable snapped and I can't open my hood at all I've tried taking the latch off, I've tried drilling the holes... The cable is tightly wrapped around something holding the hood down... Brought it to a few mechanics and nothing... Anyone????

Should be able to see the latch through the grill. A mechanic should be able to get it open. What or where did you drill?

We haven't been able to get the hood opened we took the latch bolts off it just wouldn't budge. I'm going to try to fit my hand up there either the grill or fender to try to get at it. We can't see where exactly it's stuck but I'm going to go try and see if I can see where. No this is not spam btw... Thanks for the helpful answer tho. Anymore ideas are greatly appreciated.

I would order up a replacement used grill for your truck, then use that as a guide to destruct the one you have now so you can get this fixed.

A 90 degree pick usually can be snuck in from the bottom and pull on the release lever of the latch. You may have to bend the little metal protectors around the latch though

I think this is what its gonna take. Cut the center of the grill out to get some better access. Then Id try drilling out the mounting bolts (in white) and if that didnt work id try drilling out these rivits (in red)
Definitely gonna hafta sacrifice a grill to get to em
