Hello from the Texas Hill Country

I bought another 1794 back in March, it is a 2021 with only 18K miles…beautiful truck.

    yet…

At times, my alarm goes off in my driveway…I’ve taken it for a diagnostic at Toyota; of course they didn’t find anything…I mentioned that some folks who experience this bizarre issue might have narrowed it down to the glass-break sensor, and I told them to remove the relay rather than pull out the dash to chase a faulty wire. They ended up just turning off the sensor from the software center on their dongle.

it doesn’t go off nearly as often, but it’s still happening 2-4 times each week. They want me to take it in again, but I don’t think they’re capable of problem solving when it comes to the small sample set of Tundra owners who are experiencing this seriously annoying problem.

Has anyone figured it out? Should I turn off the auto lock lake Ranger84 ended up doing? The truck stays in my driveway 80% of the time anyway…I work from home…so I’m not opposed to turning off that feature if it means I don’t have to scramble for my fob at 1030 pm when it goes off (fysa, it typically goes off then turns off on its own within 5-10 sec).

    Welcome to the forum.
If you are comfortable with doing it, pull the dome fuse for a day or 2 and see if it still does it..
Something may be shorting out causing your alarm to think the door has been opened..
If that stops the issue, tell the dealership and it may give them something to go on.

    Also get your battery tested.
I usually only get 3 or 4 years out of vehicle battery..
    I use this tester..

Thanks Dada, I turned it in and included your feedback with the Toyota Advisor…along with other things they could look for.
