I'm a new first-time Tundra owner and I got off to a bad start partially because I ran into the issue a lot of people seem to have with the dealers not calibrating their seats and so the memory seats feature does not work. Now I am having a different problem where the truck will periodically show a dialog on the screen that says, "Do you want to Adjust the Seats?" There are "yes" and "no" buttons. If you click "yes" it does absolutely nothing. You could sit there all day clicking yes. If you click "no," the dialog goes away for a few seconds, then generally comes back. This seems to happen a random number of times. I think 10 is the most I've counted.

I was hoping once I got the memory seats figured out this would go away, but it hasn't.

I tried to contact Toyota "Brand Management," who told me there was no record of my going to the dealer and I had to do that before they would help me. I went to the dealer, they saw it, said they had never seen it again and they would report it to Toyota. I never heard back from them and when I contacted Toyota Brand Management again, they told me they had no record of me going to the dealer and I needed to do that before they could help me.

So I seem to be stuck in two annoying infinite loops.

Anyone else see this and any way to get it to go away?

If you make any adjustments after setting the memory it comes up for me. Think that's what it doing is you made another adj and it now knows the position has change. So if I reset the memory number 1 to the new adj the message stays away until the next time I make a change.
Even the mirrors being switch to auto fold seems trigger this also.

I notice it when I start the truck without my phone nearby, like remotely, then enter the truck with the phone when its already running. It then connects and instantly asks about the seats. Same if you hop out with your phone while it’s running then come back. Seats again. I’d imagine if it drops the connection while driving for any reason it would be another seat message.

Yes, this happens with mine also randomly. It probably is because I’ve adjusted the seat position slightly but the “would you like to adjust your seat” message is idiotic in my opinion.

I had this issue intermittently since buying the truck, turns out I never had the key linked to my profile in the vehicle settings.

Are you saying the issue went away when you had the key linked to the profile? I wonder if that could be the problem I have. Some of the other responses do not make sense for me (e.g. it happens even if I have made no changes to the mem seats, etc.). Thanks,

Yeah it’s annoying… I get it all the time and even if I click “yes” it does nothing

If you make any adj it will pop up. Adjusted my mirror this morning going to work, leaving work the message came up. This is my experience with it.

Good observation, I'll have to see how to check on this and I only have one key and it does recognize me so maybe maybe not.

Exactly, once I linked the key to the profile it stopped asking.

I just checked and my fob was not on my driver profile either. Fingers crossed that this solves the problem.

That would be two of the more annoying things I've found root caused to the dealer (Lithia Toyota, Medford OR) doing a crap job on the Pre Delivery Inspection. You would think someone from Toyota would be monitoring these forums to ID problems that a lot of people are seeing.

The Tundra is so good at belching and farting and warning you about everything you'd think it could put a warning on the 14" screen for stuff like this. something like "warning-key fob not added to profile." Or "Warning-seats have not been calibrated." Those would have been useful for me and saved a lot of troubleshooting time. As opposed to endlessly being told to "check the back seat for passengers" because I leave my gym bag back there.

THANK YOU pwblue for the video. It was awesome.

    Your welcome!
I thank @P1NDLESK1N for explaining this in the first place as mine has not come up since the linking!
I work for Toyota material handling dealership, if you do read up there are literally hundreds of settings you can change in a Toyota forklift. Unfortunately I know the forklift better than my own Pickup! Lmao

Yes! Thank you gentlemen. I was having this problem too and linking my key fob seems to have done the trick. FWIW, I'm fairly certain that I had that setting toggled 'on' when I took delivery of my truck in November of last year and if I'm right I have no idea how/when it got toggled 'off'. Anyway, thanks again. This forum continues to be a valuable "go-to" resource.

Thank you! While my driver profile always welcomes me, turns out the key hadn't actually been linked - hopefully this resolves the random "do you want to adjust seat.." prompts

Just wanted to post an update that I have not had a single instance of the "Do you want to adjust your seats?" message since I added the FOB to my profile. Just want to urge anyone having the problem to check that first!

I also added the key to my profile and haven't seen the message appear yet.
