I'd contact the dealership that you bought from. They should be able to cancel it. This is what my dealer did when they convinced to get GAP insurance, but paid off the vehicle few months later. They sent me a check for the remaining amount. Though I believe if you still have a loan, it'll be applied to your principal.

They'll try to convince you to keep it, but with enough words about how unhappy you are with them and that you was tricked, they should refund it if they are a decent dealership. :)

sales manager told me it was required to buy car. Paperwork I signed says it’s not required. I said I’m not signing it and he said you don’t get the car then.

Ahh. I've heard some dealership who are selling at MSRP or lower ADM are "requiring" these add on warranty. Normally they are optional, but since they are selling at "msrp", they now making it up by requiring to buy these extra insurance stuff at signing. The dealer I bought my tundra started doing it too, luckily I bought my truck right before they started it.

Get a copy of the full warranty paperwork. Chances are you may be able to cancel without penalty within a certain period of time from the sale.

OP, this is called tied selling and it is highly illegal. You need to report that dealership to the FTC and the DOJ. Also to Toyota corporate. They can be heavily fined and even lose their franchise agreement.

Filed a complaint first with Toyota. Their response was sorry we have no control over what our dealers charge Obote msrp. I’m like your dealer charged msrp. But what they did was is force sell additional insurance for paint protection which I did not ask for or want. They made it a condition to buy the car. Toyota closed my complaint and said it has been filed at corp office. What ever that means. Seems like they will not hold dealers accountable.
