I have a 15 Crewmax with a Leer shell. I am contemplating on what the best way to haul a canoe. To put a rack on my shell is no big deal, but with the tower height and rocker of the canoe I would need a bar on my can also. I have seen the foam block kits for transport also. What does everyone do to carry a boat on your roof?

How is the wind noise with all the stuff on the roof. Did it affect what little mileage you get?

Ya, I’m sure it does. I’ve also got an ARB sunshade hanging from the passenger side bars, opposite my fly rod holder. It’s kinda noisey, especially w the sunroof open. I also suspect all that crap up top is why I can’t break 13mpg...close tho

I have an ARE cab with rhino rack bars and holders for my 13’ kayaks. Hard to get up there, especially 2 side by side, but they fit. I’d think a canoe would be the same but just a little taller.

This is me going into Boundary Water. Didn’t care for the straps/blocks, however, for the little I carry a canoe and my massive dislike for racks on top of my truck this might be my best option.7410326F-09F1-4E9E-B12B-820A22040789.jpg
