How to know if there is Apple CarPlay?

When did the tundra get apple car play? I found a 2019 that going by the vin it has

ED Entune Audio Plus - 7.0" Touch Screen, AM/FM/CD, Siri Eyes Free, HandsFree Bluetooth Phone/Music, SiriusXM w/3-Month All Access Trial

 

In 2020. That’s not a CarPlay radio.

 

This isn’t CarPlay. It’s on 2020+ trucks.

 

Can it be added with a USB port? They make USB adapters to give your radio wireless car play.

 

Nope. Need the entune 3 radio.
I put a Kenwood DMX1057XR on my ‘18 to fix the issue.

 

How does that look? What happens to the tundra buttons on the sides of the radio?

 

They go out with the radio and the dash kit just has silver solid piece.

You can add it with something like this. It’s $649 though. Might as well get a new and better radio for that.

yeah that is costly but i guess if you want to stay stock it would be worth it.

Is that the only option other than a new radio.

 

If you get it, you must use a proper Apple USB to Lightning cable. It's very fussy. I like it and see no reason to ever pay for the factory GPS.
