How to remove emblem overlays

    Hey guys. So my dad has the black out overlays on his emblems, and he prefers the chrome ones. Figured I take his and put them on mine which doesn’t have the overlays. What’s the best way to just remove the overlay without removing the emblem too? Maybe hairdryer on low heat and slowly pry up on the sides?

    That would be my advice. It also depends on how they were affixed. I've used 2 part epoxy to attach things like overlays before to ensure they'd never fall off.

    The set I got on Amazon was about 30 bucks I used a credit card with felt material to take mine off after leaving it in the sun

    Has he considered just debadging completely? It's much easier to wash/wax at that point.

    Too many, but not enough....
    dental floss works pretty well in my experience.
