Anyone know how to reset the tire pressure sensors? I noticed that they were reading the wrong tire location and tried to reset it using the instructions in the manual. Set the ignition to "on", pressed the button until the light blinked 3 times, then drove for 45 minutes above 25 MPH, but it still isn't reading. I've done this a couple of times now and nothing. What am I doing wrong?

Just drive normally for a while. Don’t just drive at 25 mph. If it doesn’t register then just turn the truck off. As long as the sensor isn’t blinking it’s still calibrating. Redoing the procedure over and over won’t help.

Yeah, I tried just that on my way home from work Thursday. When I drove the truck Friday it still wasn't reading.

Like most electronics, unplug and plug back in. In this case. Disconnect the negative terminal on the battery. Turn on the headlight switch to drain any capacitive power. Wait 5-10 mins and hook it back up and try the procedure again.

Just let it do its thing. Last time I reset my TPMS (a couple weeks ago) it took 3 days to register. I occasionally get a TPMS warning message.

I assume the E load Wildpeaks are messing with the signal, or one of the batteries is weak

On one occasion it took three days to register. The fastest was a 30 min. drive on the interstate going 70 mph.

Mine usually says recalibrating when it’s doing its thing. Same steps as you, however my tpms light is also on since its from switching my tires. I have to wait 1 min after turn “on” for the tpms to stop blinking.

Unfortunately, I found that removing disconnecting the battery (even overnight) will not cancel the TPMS registration procedure.

I don’t understand why it’s so problematic with Tundras. My 4Runnner always connects quickly

Yea. I’ve never had an issue with my tundra. Reset takes no more than 5-10 minutes.

Alternatively drive to discount tire or similar and they have a tool that reads each sensor and manual plugs into the truck via obd2. Sometimes between my rigs one just won’t ever take the tire swap/tpms reset process.

    Alot of them
The 20/21 is a pita when it comes to TPMS. That's why I bought an Autel TS508.
