I know this topic has been talked to about a lot, but has anyone found a certain brand of HVAC blower motors that push more are. I know the resistor runs at what RPM’s the motor turns at certain speeds. I was just wondering if there is a brand that maybe has a better squirrel cage that would push more air through the vents. I’ve already replaced the cabin filter and it is pointed in the right direction and my outside vents are clear. I haven’t tried removing the filter to see if that makes a difference yet.

the brushless one from the sequoia is the quitest and blows best. Im sure aftermarket makes some, not sure if they are reliable, or as quiet.

I’m guessing the one from the Sequoia will fit the Tundra

In one of the posts in the thread somebody claimed more flow he estimated 7%. That is as good as it gets. I have in the past closed off vents I am not using that has increased air flow

I can tell you the autozone brand (duralast, I think)blows less.

my oem one was going out and swapped for a new autozone one and it feels like 60-70% power of the OEM one

so this thread has my attention as summer heats up

the only youtube videos i've seen are for the trucks with the whole center console/shifter. i have the cheapy front bench seat with a fold-down armrest console and column shifter. is it the same access? i'll go search again...

well i may just try this fix. my truck creaks and groans and moans from under the dash every time i try to use it. not sure if that's something to do with the blower motor or blender doors? i forget. been a while since i looked in to it. i've just lived with it for so long now

Whether you have a bench seat or console doesn’t matter the blower fan is below the glove box

If the creaking sound is at startup it could be the blend door I have the same issue it doesn’t get that hot where I live so it’s a non issue. My air vent is stuck in the defrost position

No. They are separated, I haven’t looked a looked at mine but somebody on YouTube had removed their blend door component it is 2 large plastic gears that have thin plastic axles one of these plastic axles snapped his made that same snapping sound at engine startup.

Was not a fun job, I used The rubber band method and still had to take apart one of the actuator motors in order to line up the big gear on the blend door box. Now I know why some dealers charge between $2500 to $5000. If you’re going to do it, just make sure to pack a lot of patience.

Very simple, I've dropped mine on 2 separate road trips in parking lots when a leaf slips thru and rattles on the fan.

I replaced my last one in the parking lot of an AutoZone. Takes less than 10 minutes
