If you decided to installed LED Turn Signal bulbs in the front and rear and now have the hyperflashing you could use load resistors but the proper way is to change out the resistors in the flasher module. Some have decided to grind down the resistor hoops but it's easier to replace them. This was the method I've decided to go with but after reading a thread found that everyone seemed to be using different resistor values. I installed the recommended .15 ohm resistors but had the occasional hyperflash when the headlights were on. I bought a bunch of resistors and decided to test which resistors would work. I ended up using .2 ohm resistors and it works perfect. This will work if you using LED bulbs that have not resistors built in and your are using LED in the front and back.

If your Tundra is using this flash module then this fix will work.

These are the resistor hoops that some decide to grind. I actually tried this but it was a pain grinding, installing then grinding more. It's very easy to remove these and install the .2 ohm resistors.

Here are the .2 ohm resistors installed.

These are the .2 ohm 3 watt resistors I used. I bought them off Amazon for $12 for 30.

Okay... before I get too excited. Can ya describe "hyperflashing".
What mine is doing... When starting the truck, it sounds like a rapid fire typewrite from under my dash, my parking lights on/off rapidly and dash lights dim/bright with same tempo. While running, headlight switch in off position, it will occasionally, no pattern whatsoever, turn the parking lights on/off with same on dash lights. As soon as I turn light switch to any position other than off, it doesn't happen anymore. Then, once I turn truck off, light switch off, it will do it some more until i remove the key from ignition.
I have been running LED headlights for about 2 years, but it just recently (6 months or so,) began acting like this. I have fed the truck after midnight, and was never too careful about keeping it from getting wet, so these gremlins are entirely my fault. I own it.

If I have all the symptoms of hyperflashing, PLEASE Doc, tell me where to locate this flasher module in the truck!!!!

The flasher module is under the left side of the dash straight back from the mirror control buttons. You have to remove the bottom panel to see and remove it.

I'm sorry but I didn't completely understand your explanation of what was happening (I'm not that bright).

LED headlights will not cause hyperflash. It's a different circuit. Hyperflash will happen if you change the front and rear signal lights to LED bulbs. Hyperflashing is the rapid blinking of the turn signals. If resistors are used that do not have enough resistance then the signals could hyperflash only when the headlights are on but be fine when they are off.

Thank you for that. Sounds like what mine is doing, but it chooses to do it when the headlights are off not on. And my only LED bulbs are the headlights. Flashers are still the plain Jane bulbs. I guess my search for answers continues.... lol

You might have a bulb that has a broken filament then welds itself on making it intermittent. Try changing both front and back bulbs and see if it continues.
