So I was going to buy some more Toyota ATF WS fluid for my power steering and I thought, "let me make sure this product has Dexron in it."

Well, I found out that Toyota ATF WS DOES NOT have Dexron in it. I have only driven the Tundra three miles since I installed the new steering rack and ps pump.

This weekend I'm going to flush all the ATF WS in the system and replace it with Mobile1 Syn ATF.

My question is....do you think I ruined my steering rack and ps pump by driving 3 miles with the wrong fluid?

ruined it, no.. would i get it out of there? yes.. that WS stuff is fairly low viscosity and may start to seep out of seals.

I'm a new Tundra owner and I sometimes learn the hard way and the easy way. Thanks dudes, I'll let y'all know how it goes.

The steering felt a little tight and not as smooth. I guess that's why.

its happened at work before. i've yet to have a truck come in that removing the WS and putting the proper stuff in hasn't fixed.

300 hectares on single tank of kerosene
It's just detergent hydraulic oil. I wouldn't worry about. Flush it out if you're concerned.
