So, a couple months ago I bought a topper at an auction that was just labeled "For Toyota truck". Of course I didn't have a tape measure with me or anything but I got it for $30 so I figured there was no downside.

Of course, it was just a little too small for my truck. So after a lot of thinking, I built a combination lumber rack, and canopy base so I can use the topper, and have a lumber rack, designed so I can still get loads of dirt, etc through the side without having to take the rack off.

The canopy will be getting painted, I just ran out of paint:

A few build pics in case anyone is interested what it looked like before it was finished, had to do all the work in my driveway as my shop isn't really big enough for things like this (normally I do bladesmithing so...smaller items)
