The handle on my door panel is broken. This is the driver's side front door panel (2005 DC SR5). Where do I get one of these? I know the obvious answer is the junkyard, but I've never done that before. How do I go about junkyard purchases? There aren't many around me, and they're pretty small. I assume I'll have to get one shipped. Do I just call the local place and have him find one? Can I do that search myself?

I could try to fix this, but it I'd rather buy another one and be done with it. That's assuming I can find one cheap.

Next best bet would be reaching out to @Roman. Our in house parts master.

def roman is a good source. otherwise, yeah local yard or try searching your area for 'pick and pull' where you can go to the yard, find it and pull it yourself then take it to their cashier.

Can't you just put a big piece of sheetmetal in that door panel, assuming that it ripped through the cardboard door panel. If not a junk yard or @Roman

I don't even see any on car-part.com. you may have to holler at some of your local yards, or rig it to fix it.

I tried a few part search websites, and https://www.autopartsearch.com/ is the only one that could find what I need. The panel below is only $75, so I'm gonna order it.

In case anyone is interested, here's a link to the truck it's on.

Nice find! That website might be a good bookmark to add to this site or personal web browser for hard to find parts.

That truck looks like it's in pretty good shape. I don't really see enough damage to have it totaled and end up in a scrapyard.
