I need leaf springs

I need leaf springs located in Central California if you know some or getting rid of some shoot me a message please. Mine are now flattened out.

 

I bought a custom set, but in hindsight this may have been a better option.

Why would you recommend these?what did you get?

 

Well, I said may... But I called them and spoke with the guy, he said they would hold more weight than the original leaf springs. It sounded good at the time and the price was right. I went with alcan springs in Colorado. They are good springs, but after shipping and the leafs, I dropped almost a grand. So... These general springs are heavy duty and the price is right.

With mine, I asked for an inch of lift. I don't think that happened. I had to use +2 CB shackles to get the lift I wanted. They do handle the weight I requested though. That part is pretty awesome. But for a grand? I'm not sure.

 

Yeah thats alot of money I don't think I would spend that much

 

I could have used the money elsewhere... Lol. But live and learn. They do what I wanted them to do. I just hope they last!

 

Anyway, I have a hunch that those hd springs would be the better choice over stock springs. But it's just a hunch

You know the other thing you could do is visit a spring shop. They could re arch your springs and add a couple to each to turn them into progressive springs. A spring shop in fort Worth quoted me 400 dollars to do it.

Big boy pants? I have Deaver I96 HD re-arched and one leaf added by https://www.valleyspringservice.com/ they work really good. Have shackles, cradles, hardware, new u bolts.

O would rather have stock ones

 

Sorry, just recycled mine last week but they were trashed anyhow. You might consider a trip to AZ. Valley Spring is highly recommended. Or google spring shops near you. I know there's one up here in the bay area but don't know anyone that's been there.

I can recommend this company. 3 years ago my '05 Tundra was in a bad accident and I had to replace the entire rear, bed, axle, all suspension etc. I got insurance to pay out pretty good so I did all the work myself and made out like a pirate. I priced out replacement OEM and shopped around other places. I found generalspringkc springs and got their HD 5(4/1) springs. UPS delivered them as-is, no box, heavy af, leaning against my house when I got home from work. Paint was a little sloppy, but it was fully covered. Bushings pre-installed. Bolted up correctly with one exception, these are 2-3/8" wide and that is a little smaller than stock inside the hangers. Ride was same as stock leaves IMO. Price was a fraction of stock springs, IIRC Toyota wanted $900/side. And these were made in America. Toyota's were Mexico.
