2018 tundra 1794.....So after researching...the icons may not provide the 3 inches of lift as advertised per reading forum members posts after install of the icon 58750c....which ships with a 600 lb spring....sounds like most tundra crewmax owners are not happy with the 2.5 icons coil overs part number 58750C.... even after maxing out the preload.....so what the heck....why are we letting icon do this to us....I’m tempted to return the icons....after all the research....hearing about the owners dissatisfaction of the icon 2.5 system....and the 800 dollar rebuild fee from icon....kings or fox....or bilstein....heck are they all like this....all of the manufactures out to con us out of our hard earned money.....ya....3 inch’s max lift....no problem....oh ya....by the way if you really want 3 inches of lift you should have bought the 3.0 system....or you could just buy the 700 lb spring and max out the preload....so...what to do.....the coil overs purchased on Amazon $2060.84 by TotalZParts...1909.95 plus tax. 150.89.... man for that much money....they should go to 3 inches.....but most owners claiming only 2 to 2.25 inches of lift...which is not enough to clear 35 inch tires....and not acceptable for the price and the advertised lifting ability.....what say you...members of this forum? Return....or not to return....I’m leaning towards returning.....just from my research on these forums.....

Just got mine installed and the same problem as everyone else… major rake. Did option 2 on RXT rear but with a rack, tools, and full spare it wasn’t as bad as I first thought. I “kinda” like the rake, key word kinda... I know it needs it so I’m letting myself let it grow on me. The suspension is stiff but the ride is butter over washouts and major dips in the road. Definitely not “knocking” the ride quality.

Currently I’m fighting alignment issues so the truck is in the shop getting tabs re-installed to get correct caster. (Might that drop it a little more in the front)

I have read the springs on the 2.5s might not be ideal for the set up and there may be recommendations for better springs. If so, I’m disappointed with the possible lacking in R&D from Icon for that price point, but I’m also not an engineer… Just felt that others have reported statements like “false claims” and “poor customer service” from Icon when venting or going on rants. I’m hoping that not to be true as I have a feeling I’ll be calling them to inquire info and recommendations on my front end noise.

So back to the “knocking” and then the above statement about front end noise. I have less than 100 miles on them (due to needing alignment) and there was a “metal-ish” noise coming from the front end after day 3… Again not happy but understand stuff needs retightening and the possibility of checking things at full droop, checking preload, maybe it’s the wrong springs, all the things!! I can’t say for sure what’s the culprit as I don’t have the truck and technically it’s not aligned with increased caster but hoping to get some suggestions from icon when the truck is back in my hands.

Also hoping @Toytec Lifts @sdhq_offroad @ICON can add some insight but yeah not liking the noises.

In the end I’m new to Icon but I will say the ride improvement was noticed coming from my last setup. I can still fit 35s (w/BMC) and the rake is not so bad that I can’t stand it. I dont know if my preload is not right and then will that change me fitting 35s? Idk but time will tell.

OP, if you can/want to return your icons and go a different route then do it, but I also wouldn’t let forum posts solely determine your next move. There has to be enough insight from others who have faced the same situations and can offer solutions or recommendations as many either absolutely love/hate icon suspension.
