    Hey All,

Looking at buying a used 2012 Tundra that is a few hours away from me. I had the sales rep take some pictures of the suspension and am wondering if someone can help identify what series Icons these are up front?

Not sure if it helps, but rear is just Icon 2.0s so I don’t think they are more than a 2-3” lift but am not certain. Also attaching photo of the tires as they are pretty damn big/wide

Any help is greatly appreciated! But pretty sure this baby will be coming home with me this weekend.

    Cheers!

True, looks like someone tightened it down too much for preload. The rear shocks don't provide any lift.

Ya that’s what it looked like to me, but can see a partial sku code stamped on the top of the coilover and couldn’t find it listed as an icon part... maybe just an older version of the stage 1.. =\ :notsure:

I agree the amount of pre-load threw me off and was thinking maybe these were icons 4”-6” lift coils..

    Thank you for the help!

I forgot to ask the sales rep to snap a pic of the rear leaf springs, so who knows what’s providing the lift: block, shackles, or add-a-leaf.. it will just have to be a surprise haha

Thank you for the help.. depending how it rides I might need to reduce the pre-load a bit, but at least these are adjustable

True and it already has upper control arms too! Good luck and hopefully they are offering you a sweet deal!

You can email icon and ask them. I’ve sent them emails and they are pretty responsive.

Never the deal I want.. but seems fair enough given they are pricing it without these suspension goodies being considered.. they aren’t even listed on the website, but I spotted the Total Chaos UCAs in the wheel well when watching the walk around video and had to probe deeper!

Cause everyone likes photos, and so you can see what you helped me with:

Not a problem! You can probably go down a tad bit just for a better ride other that the TC ucas are paired nicely with that icon stage 1 lift! I'm Anthony over at Toyteclifts! If you have any specific questions just reach out! We do a lot of those tundras with the same lift.

Remember icon had spring issues last year where no one was getting the lift spec’d out to get. Everyone was instructed to add more preload past the 2” mark or move up to the 700lb springs. Just food for thought. I had this issue on my old 2018 with the icon coilovers.

I was not aware of this, thank you for the heads up! Just took it for a test drive and it actually wasn’t too stiff, so I probably won’t touch it.

    Cheers!
