Just purchased the icon compression wheels. Anyone have any suggestions on how to get rid of the chrome around the wheels?2940f56daee5318e9d89223a22d3d9e4.jpg

I was looking at Method wheels and they offer replacement options for their bead locks. Not sure what Icon offers or if there are aftermarket screws, but I'm sure there are.

Pretty sure Icon has a black bolt kit as well. The bolts aren’t cheap though.

I've looked around for a kit but no luck.

I was shopping Method and Icon a while back and I’m pretty sure I asked about the kit for both. SDHQ might have them. I thought I had a convo with them but can’t find it anywhere.

Pretty sure you can get a cheap set of black M bolts from Amazon for this. I have seen others on this forum go that route.

When I looked into this I could never find the right size. They are all way longer than the stock bolts.

Just spoke to someone at SDHQ and they do have them in stock for 215$. Going to wait and see if there's a cheaper option.

    Too many…scratch that…not done yet.
Have you checked McMaster Carr or Fastenal?
I imagine they would have what you need.

I’m not sure where you are OP, but you might also check Ace Hardware, if you have one close.
My local Ace has a large selection of specialty fasteners (about 2-3x the amount of Home Depot), that they sell by the ea.

There is a thread for SCS Ray10s or SR8 wheels in the title that has a link to black bolts that someone got on Amazon for dirt cheap.

Good idea. I'm going to take one of the chrome bolts to a hardware store. Hopefully I can find some.
