Identify a lift size in my tundra

    Hello, i recently purchased a tundra. 2007, it aready had 20x12 -44 and 33 tires 12.5

    I want to know what size lift or brand it may have. Has a 4in blocks on rear.
    For the front it has like 1.75in spacer on top of the strut. And on bottom of strut spring there is a little spacer. Do not know if its something stock or added. Also i think the spindle was changed. The truck sits level.
    Rought country says is a 6in because their 6in kit has 4in block.
    The spindle.on mine has stamped TTU14L PMA. SOME LIKE THAT. i will post pic tomorrow

    He is a photo of the truck now and the spindle. I do not know if is stock or not. There are also stainless steel brake lines.

    A wild guess from that photo would be about a 6” lift. More shots of front undercarriage and Suspension components would help :thumbsup:

    This is a simple problem:

    Measure the distance from the lower control arm to subframe bolt to the original lower control arm mount(which the lift bracket will be bolted to now)

    OP also has extended spindles, so it is a spindle lift not a spacer lift.
    The spacers on the shock/coilover only serve to lengthen the coilover to match the spindle lift, it does not affect droop or total suspension travel and therefore does not affect the "ride"

    uhhh what? you can have spacers and spindles and he clearly said and showed that they're on there. I'm not saying it's "right", but i've definitely seen some hoopty shit in my day, especially on a used vehicle. people love cheapo lifts.

    That's a budget level 6" lift, OP. if it rides good to you then great, but if it rides at all like we fanboys think it will (at least eventually), then change that crap out and talk to Toytec about better options ;)

    A 6 inch spindle lift ( what the OP most likely has, cannot tell brand from what he has posted yet ) lifts the front 6 inches with an extended spindle... the coilover is lengthened with spacers ( or extended coilovers on more expensive lifts as an option )...the spacers only serve to lengthen the coilover to match the spindle, it does not affect the total suspension travel and therefore does not affect the ride.
    A stock 2007+ tundra has 9.5 nches of front suspension travel. Let's be generous and call it 10 inches...that is 5 inches up and 5 droop. When you install a 3 inch lift using spacers you have changed it to 8 up and 2 droop. Without the correct bumpstop when you hit a pothole you can move it 7 up but the shock only has 5 up, which is why you break the shock. When you hit a pothole, and drop 3 inches into the hole, the truck will droop 2 inches suspension and the whole truck drops 1 inch (because there is no more suspension travel) which is why people say it rides harsher with a 3 inch lift vs 2 inch etc.
    In the OP's case, the spring on the coilover is not compressed anymore then stock eventhough the spacers make the whole assembly longer. So he still has his 5 up 5 droop.... no change in ride quality
