If I put a camper shell on the Platinum, will I lose the panoramic camera?

I'm considering buying a Platinum. I want to put a camper shell on it so I can use a rack system to transport our kayaks. What will I be giving up to do this? I know there are a couple cameras on that rear light above the bed.

Bonus question: are there install locations for racks on the roof of the truck?

Yes it will block the camera unless there's a clear passthrough all the way to the tailgate side.
No the roof of the Tundra does not have mounting holes for a roof-rack, you have to drill into the cab and seal it yourself.

Happen to know which cameras would be blocked? Hoping it wouldn't interfere with the 360 panoramic view

360 panoramic view comes from the cameras on the mirrors, the grill, and the backup camera.
EVEN if you could find a camper that a cutout for the third brake light, you won’t really have a view of anything other than the top of the camper from the bed camera.

See if you can deactivate it or move one into the camper shell.

You would still have 360 view, but wouldn't that make the digital rearview mirror unusable? I wasn't sure how I was going to like that feature, but it's all I use now.

I believe you will be loosing the digital rear view mirror capabilitie only if the camper shell has the cut out for the 3rd brake light and cameras but still have the ability to use the camera for the bed of the truck. Both cameras are in the 3rd brake light assembly.

I had a shell on my 2016 but for my 2023 i didn't want to lose the two cameras on the 3rd brake light housing. I went with Diamondback cover and Yakima racks for kayaks and Yakima Deepspace for more storage.

I looked high and low for a shell that would let me to relocate the cameras. Couldn't find anything. One is for the bed view and the other is for rearview mirror.

Seems like there's opportunity for someone with electrical and technological skills to design a kit to extend cameras and reprogram 360 view.
How hard could it be...

You would think Toyota would make one with cameras built in and a plug that would integrate the all the visuals when connected.
