no Mods... has new headlights and some dings on the side... just purchased a dent puller and Bilstein 5100's for it..... absolutely love it in the 2 weeks I've owned it...
I have a 1st Gen Tundra 02.... absolutely love this truck! Solid motor/tranny and interior is near perfect and zero - absolutely zero rust.
so its white and is very presentable but I am hugely considering a repaint... my dilemma here is what color do I choose? And do I let a shop handle it? ($9K) Or do I disassemble it and have a shop put the paint on it and I reassemble it? Huge Meth problem here and I really don't trust the working class to do it right.
It's a relatively simple built truck with not a lot of techno so I know I could handle it, with enough photos on how things go back together.

So what color? I recently encountered a color by Land Rover called Sedona Red - stunning!! And I think it would be absolutely great on this truck.
I've even seen medium purple on an old crew cab Ford that looked amazing! Only thing I'm not into is overly bright colors... hit me up with ideas... this will be a year out! Still have my LED lights I need to install - probably wait until the paint is done.

Thanks for any perspectives out there!!!

I never thought I'd want a 'green' vehicle, but the Spurce Mica green was a great color.
I wish they offered it in 2014 when I bought mine.
    At night it looks black...
    Good luck..

My favorite oem color from Toyota is the pyrite mica. What ever color you choose though my recommendation would be to use one with a metallic finish. The metal flakes make it truly special.

I like the spruce mica and jade mica they used as well. More unique than our current MGM colors. Don't get me wrong, I love the color of my truck but I see so many tundras, tacos, and 4Runners in that color way.

I have a solid black tundra. I would like to get it painted silver metallic black. Not much of a change. But a little would be nice.

My mind tells me I don’t care for plain silver paint color, but every time I see a silver truck I think it looks so sharp. I think silver paint ages well and looks great with black accents.

Imperial Jade Mica - the green color used on 2000-2004 Tundras - has always been my favorite.

If you are into gray, the Thunder Gray color available from 2000-2002 was pretty cool. Had a different look depending on the light.

Are you planning on stripping it down and removing engine and interior. If not you’ll have different colored engine bay and door jams. Stick to original color

I had a Tacoma that color… it’s a stunning color when all cleaned up and in the sun. It would definitely be on my list of I had something to repaint.

I'd go with a dark blue (my 2018 Camry is Royal Blue), or a dark forest green.

I actually really like that color but I kind of want to go custom.... not really going for attention but something unique. But that green is definitely imperial!! lol

Still leaning heavily towards that (Land Rover - Sedona Red) Its a brown with a touch of red and copper is the best way to describe it....

I'm leaning towards something unique and not too loud.... So it doesn't need to be Toyota color.

Second mention of this color.....interesting, it would absolutely bring the Toyo the respect! that I would agree with, and I'm a fan of the blue spectrum but it just seems too new for me... if that makes sense? has a bit of the dulled down like lunar color to me... which for a newer vehicle it would grow into! maybe? most likely? but I'm sitting on this first Gen Access cab and I'm thinking something outside Toyo just because if done right would have zero regrets! I'm not looking for Neon colors or Bright colors but a subdued second look....
I'm actually really enjoying this thread! Love to see others perspectives on something as simple as color.... my usual go to color would be silver!! Looks good in all light and hides dirt relatively well.... I actually bought a Silver with hues of purple Tacoma the first year 1997 - my second and last new vehicle...

I genuinely am vibing on this Land Rover color... Sedona Red. There is a great amount of wealth (knowledge on this site), that I want to be confronted with....
I will say the Cavalry Blue and Imperial Jade Green are my second runner ups here!! The first Gen Tundra actually gets a considerable amount of attention in traffic here in Idaho in its basic white color... I bought it just because it has the Toyo badge and a really well balanced vehicle, not too small nor needing a zoning permit! I will most likely never sell this truck! And why I want to put a unique color on it....

Obviously agree.... If someone pulled up on you in this color vehicle what would you say? It's rather unique but also unidentiful... lol I was scrolling one day with vehicles and this color came up... Would you put it on a 32 Ford with a rumble seat? Or a '68 Shelby GT350? or a mid to late 70's VW Microbus? A mid to late 60's Lincoln with suicide doors? Or my latest sell of a vehicle? a 2020 Avalon.... I love unassuming vehicles with unassuming colors.... and as far as a VW microbus I would put this color on top and do a quarter Root-beer on the bottom.

Thank you for the unequivocal acknowledgement of the color....

I would love to see this color on an Aston Martin, maybe a Rolls-Royce or perhaps even a F430 Ferrari?? or even a trashy mid to late 80's corvette... lol

maybe a substitute name could be Root beer on crack?

This post / message is merely for entertainment purposes.... but also to spark some imagination on the Tundra forum.

Another vote for the spruce mica, and I’m otherwise not a green person. It has a golden/bronze sheen to it in the sun. Really cool.
