Have a 2021 Tundra. All things about its traction control and ABS make it one UNSAFE winter truck.
Toooooo much Computer Control. Its pathetic.

Search around the 2.5 gen section for what they call "beast mode" you can disable every bit of the traction control system. Have to push the button a certain way and it will disable all. Heck someone makes a harness so it disables everything everytime you get in the truck.
As far as ABS goes; not sure about anything to do with that. Pull ABS fuses maybe.

It's also pretty pathetic to 'free-wheel' around in overdrive in slippery conditions, instead of "daring" to use the Sequential Shifter and choosing a lower gear, to help stay in control. The Owner's Manual can help too but just like learning about the Sequential Shifter, it takes Effort.

Welcome and thanks for the tip. I'll guess I'll have to pass on the 21 and keep my 19. My 19 doesnt have problems in snow. Maybe you should have gotten a 19. maybe they replaced the drivers intelligence module in the 21 and therefore its unsafe. Yeah thats probably it.

I live in the mountains of Colorado and I drive in the snow all the time.
Sure if you expect a 4wd truck to perform well in snow and ice get yourself some good snow tires and it’s night and day difference.
I have Blizzak snow tires and I only use 4wh dr when I have too.

    Welcome to the site.

Well, guess Alaska is pretty extreme at times for snow….

What is the truck doing specifically?

I had this same problem. It's your tires, not the truck. I put BFG KO2's on and it solved the problem. Put a 3 peak snow rated tire on your truck and you'll be good to go.

Right there with you. Only problem I have is stopping because the truck weighs so much. I do like others said though and ride a lower gear.

Winter driving isn’t all on the vehicle. Alot is on the driver too.

The 2019s use transmission heat to melt the snow in front of the truck.

WHAT? You mean the "operator" has some remote responsibility regarding safe driving? Why doesn't the truck know what it's doing?:lalala:

Wait wait wait, no one has asked OP what color his tundra is. This could be the source of his problem. He just got the wrong color. We all know Cav blue tundra's were born for the snow. Heh.

Really OP? It’s a rear wheel drive pickup with a large V8…with that said I have zero problems in the snow with mine. Oh by the way welcome…
