My grandpa bought this truck new and I’m only the second owner so just wondering because I’ve been looking for HP so how do I get this iForce opinion? SWAP THE DAMN THING??

They're all "iForce" but the 05 and 06 have variable valve timing.

As far as I can tell "iForce" doesn't mean anything.

So if I don’t have “iforce” on my engine I still have it?

Toyota made the name "iForce" when they made the first Tundras. It isn't the same as variable valve timing which is what your friend has, the 05-06 get an extra 30 horsepower from the Toyota version of Vtec.

I think they just made up "iForce" to sound cool.

Weird. Must not have been put on them all. As long as u have the v8 it's fine. "Iforce" is just a dummy term

Of those 2, Icon is the spendier, upper tier option. But do some research on progressive vs. digressive so you get what you need for how you use your truck.

    Also, why only the rear?

He has Icon up front already

I might say neither but depends what you want from your truck.

5100s are okay, I have run a pair for about ten years. They limit my rear suspension travel by about 3" though. If you will stick with atock springs they are fine.

Icon, depends which ones. Some are not meant for extra travel (don't confuse travel with lift). They have one set that can work with aftermarket springs but for that price I would sooner get the Archive garage relocation kit and a pair of 12" King or Fox for the rear.

hey its been a while since i been here....
the "iForce" stands for "Intelligent Throttle" AKA Electronic throttle control; i think its started at 2001. (thats about 240HP).
Then the VVT was added at 2005 (thats adds to about 270HP).
So yes your friend does have little more HP and and a 5 speed transmission, yours is a 4 speed.
Now there is a supercharger made for the 2000-2003 but is like impossible to find....
Now about the engine swap... it maybe possible but you will need the ecm too to control the VVT but also you will the the 5 speed transmission....

i got 2001 and am very happy with it

Engine can be swapped if you find a donor, you’d need the engine, transmission, ecu, engine harness. Then some wiring unless you also swapped the interior harness out.
The difference is VVTI and a 5 speed auto vs your 2000

Also, your taller tires make your truck slower off the line. They effectively lower your gearing -- it's like going from a 4:11 to a 3:73 rear end. Plus they add unsprung weight.
