I brought my 22 Platinum in for gas tank recall and oil change and to my surprise the dealer gave me a rental of a stripped down Limited but it has the iForce Max. I have a ton of seat time in my non hybrid Platinum but never drove the Max so after 120 miles of highway and city so far, here are my thoughts. The 24 Limited with 3000 miles definitely feels solid with no wind noise or any console creaking although I did hear some noises coming from the headliner. I can tell the build quality is better and that makes me happy. I know there is more power but it really didn't feel much different than my truck. Taking off from a dead stop is probably where I feel it most. My truck has a tool box with lots of crap in it and all my storage is full so I know I have a lot more weight in mine vs this totally empty truck. Maybe a tad quicker on the highway when i gun it, but again nothing too drastic at all. The hybrid seems to take away that slight hesitation that I feel in mine but its brief. I don't like the way the truck constantly slows you down when you let off the gas. Its not a big deal but if your cruising on the highway it does not coast the way mine will. I like the way it shuts down in lots of situations when you let off the gas though. In slow going traffic it constantly shuts the engine down and when your not on the gas. I can see why Id probably get better MPG around town. I'm sitting at 18.5 mpg for the day and the way I've been driving it I'd be in the low 17's in my truck. I would miss my underseat storage and for what I do I would not spend the extra $3700 this option adds, not even close. I'm obviously spoiled at this point with the platinum, but lots missing in this truck as well. No JBL and although the radio is fine, the JBL in my truck is noticeably better with the bass and when you crank it up. I don't know why the other trims don't have the console tray lid cover that the upper trims have. Mine is way more comfortable on the elbow and its covered storage. I added the bilstien off road shocks to my truck and they also feel much better on the highway than the standard black shocks. I also realized that I like my fake engine noise. My truck sounds meaner from the inside and I still hear the turbos the same way. I do like the cup holder design much better in the limited than the Platinum. Having the cup holders side by side gives you a ton more usable storage in the front of the console. Looking forward to nighttime to see the difference in the headlights. This truck does not have the surround view cameras and that's also a feature I really like in mine. Lastly I'm 6'4 and I really appreciate the comfort my seats have especially with the thigh support that's not in this truck. Looking forward to getting back into my Platinum but definitely appreciate that I got to experience this truck and it is the best rental I've driven

Good write up! I just picked up my 2024 limited iforce max with a long bed. Was the only long bed on the dealer’s lot so my options were limited. I will say the limited I have is well equipped and has 360 camera, digital rear view mirror and a bunch of other options stuff which I really like. I didn’t drive the regular iforce so I can’t really compare mine to that, maybe one day I’ll drive the non hybrid and see what it’s like. I do like the idea of rolling with just the battery at lower speeds. But one thing I wish my truck had was the thigh extenders, they are really nice for long road trips. Overall I’m happy with my truck and it’s like a mansion and is way more refined compared to the Tacoma I traded.

I had to travel 200 miles outside of Pittsburgh to get a 24 limited, TRD MAX Long bed- Toyota is ridiculous with manufacturing small amounts of 6.5' beds & was very hard to find what I was looking for- I guess next will be a Tundra stationwagon! I wished they made more 6.5' beds- I mean these are suppose to be TRUCKS right?

Yea, it’s shocking to me. I had a Tacoma with the 5’ bed and I am not sure how I was able to manage with it for so long. After having this truck for about two weeks now, I don’t think I could ever go back to anything smaller. Truck is massive though, but honestly way more manageable than what I read online. Once driving you hardly notice the size, until you have to make a uturn of course
