Has anyone had any luck finding any in window channel wind deflectors for your 2022 Tundras? Been looking past hour and have not had any luck, all just external tape on.

    My 2 cents
I know a lot of people really dig em but they are def hard on that top edge of glass …if tinted def going to scratch bc they occupy that space usually just for glass…recently had a 21 Honda Pilot in the shop with a tweaked regulator bc of the vent visor

    2¢ more:
Having had them for years on my 2014, I'm going to agree with @AGTundra
The top edge of the tint and glass looks pretty bad from having in-channel visors.
Most of the damage is on the outside edge where the glass meets the plastic visor.

There are multiple threads on in channel side window deflectors for 3rd gen. They don't exist yet, but weathertech is currently working on some. Check the other threads for updates as that's where they'll likely be when released.

Yup. I won't ever use in-channel again. Scratching the hell out of my tint.

I much rather have scratched tint where no one will see than peel and sticks. My windows are either all the way down or cracked to vent. No one sees that part of my window. Peel and stick ones look tacky and goofy to me and I've seen too many of those hanging off of cars. I also like the added benefit of taking them on and off if I want and not worrying about removing adhesive. To each their own. Just depends on what matter most to you.

Was not even thinking about what it could do to tint but is anyone really going to be seeing that part of your window? I just had ceramic tint put on, besides the area that no one ever sees that might get damaged its not like it can cause the tint to peel away correct?

I have had in channels on both previous Tundras spanning 14 years and the tint when it has scratched never peeled. I had almost no scratching on my previous set but a little bit on the set two trucks ago.

I have AVS in channel in my 3rd gen Tacoma. I’ll be waiting for them to put some out once I get my Tundra in.

TRD Air Filters, Front door windows tinted to match the rears. Wheel locks, Talons Garage cat shield, Tyger Automotive soft tonneau cover, WeatherTech floor mats with Tuff Skinz Custom Emblem kit, Toyota OEM Emblem Black Out kit. AVS vent covers on all four doors, Red Tundra letters on front bumper & TRD highlighted in Red on front grille. Tailgate Tundra Letters in Black.
I always have used AVS they stick on the outside and are car wash safe. On my 2022 I went with low profile and since I have tinted front windows the stick on’s won’t scratch your tint.

Why is the tint film so far away from the edge?
Only asking because my tint goes to the edge and looks like factory glass.
Additionally I have been running in-channel visors for years with no marks or scratches on the film.

Maybe that could be a contributing factor to the scratching?

Trying to help, not be critical.

I am, honestly, shocked to see how many people are complaining about tint.. Either your shops used a rubbish tint or something else is going on. my 2011 4Runner had inchannel weather techs until I sold it in 2015, my 2015t t4r had inchannel since the day I brought it home in the spring of 2015, and it was traded in with them 2ish months ago - no damage whatsoever.

That is the tint that came on the truck when it was new.
Most of the scratches are on the outside of the window glass where the glass meets the visor.
They are fairly deep scratches, I can feel them with a fingernail.
The tint issues are on the inside where the inside meets the weatherstrip..

I don't see how the tint on the inside could prevent the scratching of the glass on the outside..
I guess dirt gets in the channel and scratches the glass.
It is a pretty tight fit.

The scratches on my glass have little to do with the tint.
They are on the outside where the window exterior meets the visor.

I'm happy for you that you didn't have this experience..

Now that’s odd that the scratches are on the outside. Hmm… maybe now I should double check mine and make sure the channels are clean.

I used to try to keep them clean.
I'd even take a q-tip and put a thin layer of silicone spray a couple of times a year on the visor edge in the channel.
In afterthought maybe that ended up attracting dirt in keeping it in the channel..

I'm not sure who tinted the front windows, either Gulf States or maybe the dealership.
I do need to have it retinted though.
After 8 years it is starting to distort in the middle of the window.
The back door windows are fully tinted to the edge..

I got in-channel because the stick on visors I had on the 2005 kept coming off..

EGR is expected to drop two in-channel options next week. We already have them on the site if you wanted to take a look!

From my experience I would say that you have had to keep those seals extremely clean ….I understand that vent visors serve a great purpose but from a tinting standpoint they suck!
Im always surprised the things I notice in tint people look at me like ….this guy is !

I usually use Weathertech, but they dropped the ball not getting these out. Truck has been out almost a year and they have one specific 3rd gen product? GTFOH! They obviously had a 3rd gen available to use for design and measurements months ago because they have floor mats out. EGR first to the finish line, they get my money.

I don't know, but I don't have any wind noise with mine without them.

Ok I was just told by EGRUSA that they will be releasing in channel versions next week and gave me a list of online vendors and said that some are already taking orders since they are receiving them from the online vendors already. Didn't try all of them but the first ones that came up with taking order was Realtruck.com and here is the part numbers for them.

    Matte Black # 575401

    Dark Smoke # 575405

I placed an order the other day on realtruck for the 575405 model. Matte Black description said it uses clips and tape for the rear windows, but the 575405 didn't, so I went with that one. I'm pretty sure the rear just as some adhesive going the length of the deflector to keep it in place within the channel, which is pretty standard.

I asked for the specific install guides for both so I could add them here as well, but EGR said they didn't have them yet!
