2008 Tundra 4x4 crewmax 5.7. I’m going to replace my inner and outer tie rods OEM. Does anybody know what tool is used to take off the inner tie rod? I measure the inner tie rod flat ends it measures 1-7/8”. I been looking at different inner tie rods removal kits don’t go that big size. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks

Used a Pipe Wrench to take the inner tie rods ends off and install , work great. Toyota dealer wanted to $1,100 for one sided remove and install and aligment. About 2Hrs of work. I did installl OEM parts inner and outer tie rods end with bellow boots and bellow clamps jam nuts. Save Money :) Forgot to mention I did replace left and right side inner tie rods and outer tie rod ends.

can you elaborate a bit here on how you did it with the pipe wrench? I’m about to change out the inner tie rods on my 2016 trd crewman.

Also doing my inner and outers, unfortunately no sets in my area go that big either. I'm thinking I'm just going to have to use pipe wrench to take off and put on. I guess it doesn't really matter if the outside gets scratched up

Turn steering wheel full lock to get the tie rod to stick out. Use the pipe wrench with the teeth pointing in the correct direction to loosen the tie rod. There’s a flat edge on the tie rod but you don’t need to line up the pipe wrench on it. Treat the tie rod like an actual pipe.
