The current (stock) air intake is a cold air intake. No performance improvements will be gained “upgrading” the stock box.

@dirtydeeds makes the best exhaust for tundras. You will see some performance gains there. He’s super helpful and will build you the exhaust you want, and if you don’t like it you can swap it for a louder or quieter or whatever you want.

Welcome and have a look around - plenty of threads on these topics that will answer all of the questions you’ll likely have. The search function here is pretty solid.

Stillen CAI, DD 8” exhaust, Toytec Aluma coilovers, Icon leaf springs, SCS SR8 18x9 wheels, Cooper Rugged Trek 275/70/18 A/T Tires, Ecoological bumper shellz and grill surround, AJT interior black out kit, AJT shift knob. TRD pro style grill, VLED aqua blue footwell lights, MESO custom dome and map LED lights, swing case, Rough country bed mat, TRD pro headlights and fog lights, Morimoto XB tail lights and 3rd brake light.
The only thing you really get out of a CAI can be a more aggressive sound from under the hood. Other than that not worth the money in my opinion. Exhaust can improve performance slightly but that’s mostly sound as well. It’s your truck though if you want both of those things go for it. Search the forum and you’ll find tons of opinions and sound clips on exhaust options.

Yup, no gains to be had from an aftermarket intake. None. Just noise.

Exhausts of quality are few and far between for our platform. Most systems reportedly have an annoying drone at highway speeds. The following have addressed this issue with success from what I understand.

Dirty Deeds has a long history with a really good following. Fella at work has one on his ‘18 Tundra.

I’ve just received my new SPD Performance system and should have it installed in the next few days. They’re newer to the Tundra world, but established with many other vehicles. @reywcms was instrumental in the development of this system and many folks have reported good gains with it. No resonator, but reportedly no drone.

@TigWeldingCreations has a new cat-back system that also looks great. I don’t know anyone running one personally, but he’s picking up some market share. He uses a resonator, similar to Dirty Deeds.

Welcome aboard. Grab a beer and spend some time reading. There are literally thousands of good bits of information here on every aspect of our Tundra platform. We’ve already figured out a lot of the wrong ideas. Please take advantage of our mistakes and save some money!

Good morning Kat and welcome. What most everybody is saying is true about the stock intake being a CAI already so replacing it with another is pointless however there is one intake that allows more air in and is basically similar to the SABM that @JMGmanAZ linked you to but this CAI pulls air in from the front grille area. It's the Stillen CAI. There are several people including myself that have it and are pleased with the results. It may be worth looking into if you are looking for a CAI.

Also as most will mention, @dirtydeeds has great exhaust systems

    Good luck

Do yourself a financial favor, and block everything that has @reywcms or @snivilous attached to it. They’re super good at helping you spend your money on really cool shit.

I joke, of course. They’re both great contributors here that are passionate about discovering how far these trucks can go. Seems more like an obsession…

more than I can list here
As said above, your stock intake is a cold air intake.

I’ve been building exhaust systems for tundras since 2003. With hundreds of prototypes , tens of thousands of systems built, and hundreds of options, there’s no reason to take your chances. You will get exactly what you’re looking for. 760-877-4234.
