Interesting Stats on Model Ground Clearance

    Being a newbie I am looking to mod my Tundra and I came across these interesting stats on ground clearance it’s from an insurance company that goes by Jerry Insurance. IMG_2045.png

    no way its under the diff. the problem with this spec is there is 0 transparency on where all the manufactures measure.

    It’s interesting the difference between the non hybrid and hybrid model is 2.1” on the 1794 model. The hybrid having 2.1” more ground clearance. That is quite a difference. I’m not sure why… maybe the beefed up the suspension because of the added weight.

    Alot of them
    Nothing new. These trucks have always had height variations for years across the generations. 2 of the same trim level can vary in height as well.

    Or its because they are measuring from different points on the chassis. The rear pumpkin is going to be the low point no matter how they beefed up the suspension. The only thing that lifts the pumpkin is bigger tires and 2.1" would require tires that are 4.2" larger diameter, which obviously isnt the case.

    simple math says these trucks cant have more than ~9" at the rear diff with the stock 32" tires.

    Makes you wonder if some are measured from the diff, some from the air dam, some from the chassis low point besides the diff.
