I bought a replacement tailgate damper from Glamazon. The OEM unit was still mounted damper pointed downward so I installed the ChineseIMG_20241002_153631032_HDR.jpg unit exactly the same. It had absolutely no resistance so I flipped it ....same thing.
Do these dampers have a break in process or did I just get a weak damper ??
Note: the OEM has a arrow pointing "down" and that's how it was mounted. & How I mounted the new one. I wound up removing both. With intention of matching the OEM unit at O'Reilly's.
Anyone replace their damper with a aftermarket unit with success ??
